Gunmen Kill Comedian Isaac ‘Azia’ Nwosu in Awka Attacks
Gunmen have killed comedian and media personality Isaac Nwosu, known as Azia, in Awka, Anambra State. Another man was also shot dead in a separate attack on Sunday night. Police said three unidentified men travelling in a silver Toyota Corolla allegedly carried out the shootings at S.M. Okeke Street, Amaikwo, and Capital City Road, Amaenyi. Witnesses said Nwosu was reportedly trailed from his home before his vehicle was blocked and he was shot. The attackers allegedly shot the second victim by the roadside, took his belongings and fired into the air as they fled. Police recovered N7,550, a Moniepoint ATM card and a pair of slippers from the scenes. The Anambra State Police Command has transferred the case to the State CID and launched a manhunt for the suspects. Residents with useful information have been urged to assist the investigation confidentially.
