Rivers Police Arrest Three Kidnapping Suspects Linked to Lagos Abduction, Rescue Lured Victim

Rivers State Police have arrested three suspected kidnappers linked to the Feb. 17 abduction of a Lagos resident in Etche Local Government Area. The suspects were apprehended in Emohua while plotting to abduct Chisom George, who was lured from Anambra under the guise of an interior decoration job. George was safely rescued during the operation. Police say the gang used social media platforms and fake profiles of reputable figures to deceive victims. In custody, the suspects confessed to multiple kidnappings across Enugu, Lagos and other states. A manhunt is underway for the fleeing gang leader and remaining members. Authorities warn the public to verify identities online and report any suspicious activity to the nearest station.
