Ogun Police Bust Cult Gang, Seize Pistol and Stolen iPhone in Ilaro
Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command arrested four suspected cultists in Ilaro on April 16 over alleged assault, armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms. The suspects – Samson John, Olufowora Michael, Odeh Samuel Ejeh and Olajide Jeremiah – reportedly attacked a man at his home. They threatened him with an axe, beat him up and made off with his iPhone 14 Pro Max. Six other gang members are still at large. Police recovered a locally made pistol, an axe, suspected charms and the stolen phone. The suspects are in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department as investigation and prosecution preparations continue. The Commissioner of Police commended the swift arrest and reiterated the command’s commitment to fighting cultism and violent crime.
