Bandits Kill Two, Abduct 26 in Giwa Communities, Kaduna
Two residents were killed and 26 others abducted in coordinated bandit attacks on Tunburku and Tudun Amada communities in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The Kaduna State Vigilance Service said the attacks occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Monday. The victims killed in Tunburku were identified as Alhaji Surajo and Alhaji Ado, while another resident, Ayyuba Usman, was injured. In separate incidents, the attackers rustled cattle from Kura and Kallon Kura in Danmahawayi District. Vigilance personnel reportedly tracked the bandits, exchanged gunfire with them and recovered 19 cattle after the assailants fled. Police said they were seeking further clarification on the attacks.
