The charge was given at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Inter-Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition at the 32 Artillery Brigade in Akure. The competition tested personnel in weapon handling, shooting, swimming, endurance runs, obstacle crossing and tug of war. Five formations from Akure, Ibadan, Lokoja and Benin participated. Top-performing brigades received trophies, certificates and cash prizes, while units were encouraged to sustain training efforts against evolving security threats.
