Fani-Kayode Threatens $100m Counter-Lawsuit Over Planned US Case Against Tinubu

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has dismissed a planned $36 million lawsuit by Washington-based lobbyist Karl Von Batten-Montague-York against President Bola Tinubu and himself in the United States. Fani-Kayode denied allegations that he, the President or the Federal Government threatened Von Batten-Montague-York. He challenged him to make evidence of the alleged threats public. He said his lawyers would pursue a $100 million libel claim in the US and consider legal action in Nigeria over alleged cybercrime and criminal defamation.
