Peter Obi Should Avoid Turning Every Claim Into a Public Dispute
I believe Peter Obi does not need to respond publicly to every allegation about his record in Anambra State. Governments borrow money, and the key question should be how the funds were used and managed. The Anambra State Government has released documents and claims relating to loans, unpaid salaries, pensions and gratuities under past administrations. In my view, Obi’s repeated denials have drawn more attention to allegations that could have been addressed more carefully or ignored. I also think public figures need advisers who can help them decide which issues deserve a response. Reacting to every criticism can revive controversies and create further questions about one’s record.
