Two Arrested After Police Inspector Is Killed at Imo Commissioner’s Residence
The Imo State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of a police inspector assigned to guard the residence of the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Investment, Rex Anunobi. The inspector was reportedly attacked in the early hours of September 14 at the commissioner’s residence in New Owerri. He was later found dead in a room, while his service rifle and mobile phone were reportedly missing. Police said the suspects, Olivia Patrick, 31, and ThankGod Mourice, 25, were arrested shortly after the incident was reported. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department as investigators work to identify and arrest other suspects who may be involved.
