FRSC Steps Up Patrols Across Cross River for 2026 Ember Months
The Federal Road Safety Corps in Cross River says it has intensified patrols and safety measures ahead of the 2026 Ember Months, when vehicular movement and road crashes often increase. The command will focus on major highways, traffic corridors, crash-prone locations, motor parks and busy entry and exit points. Officers will enforce rules against speeding, overloading, drunk driving, phone use while driving, faulty tyres, unsafe vehicles and failure to use seat belts. Motorists are advised to plan their trips, avoid night travel where possible, rest before long journeys and obey traffic rules. The FRSC also urged road users to report dangerous driving through its toll-free emergency line, 122.
