Three Residents Kidnapped in Amughie as Edo North Security Fears Grow

Tension is growing in Edo North after three residents—Shaibu Eshiokiamhe, Matthew David and Ojor Michael—were reportedly kidnapped in Amughie Village, Ward 10, Okpekpe, Etsako East LGA. Comrade Famous Omotayo Eshiobugie condemned the abductions and said residents and farmers are increasingly exposed to criminal activity in rural communities. He criticised the Edo State Government over what he described as inadequate proactive security measures. He called on the state and local governments to deploy more security personnel and support community-based protection efforts. He also appealed for the victims’ immediate and safe release.
