Davido Responds to MC Oluomo Amid Osun Election Tensions

Davido has responded to NURTW President Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, amid tensions surrounding the planned August 15 Osun governorship election. The dispute followed the Osun State Government’s suspension of NURTW operations and levy collections at motor parks, citing security concerns. Governor Ademola Adeleke also directed security agencies to arrest people allegedly posing as union officials. MC Oluomo, an APC stalwart, challenged the suspension and argued that the governor lacked the constitutional power to halt the union’s activities. In an Instagram Story post, Davido questioned the union leader’s stance. Davido, who has been involved in youth mobilisation for his uncle’s campaign, has also spoken against alleged attempts to disrupt or manipulate the election.
