Ogun Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Over Alleged Gang Rape in Ijebu-Igbo
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man over the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old woman in Ijebu-Igbo. Police said the incident allegedly occurred on August 30 at the victim’s residence in Odo-Idi Sale, Oke Sopen. The victim’s mother reportedly made a formal complaint at the Ijebu-Igbo Division on Tuesday. Officers secured the scene and took the woman to a general hospital for medical examination and care. One suspect is in custody, while police say they are searching for a second suspect who allegedly fled. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation and possible prosecution.
