Three Dead, Including Festival-Goers, in Shooting at Seattle Food Festival
Three people were reported dead and several others injured after gunfire erupted at the Bite of Seattle food festival near the Space Needle on Sunday evening. Police said the shooting began at about 6 p.m. local time. Two victims died at the scene, while another later died at Harbourview Medical Center. Among those hospitalised were a two-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man and two women aged 39 and 56. One suspect was taken into custody, but police said another suspected shooter remained at large. Investigators believe two people may have been shooting at each other as festival-goers fled in panic, with witnesses describing people falling and strollers overturning in the rush to escape.
