Ogun Police Arrest 23 Foreign Nationals Over Alleged Ponzi and Visa Scam

The Ogun State Police Command says it arrested 23 foreign nationals during a raid on a gated residence in an estate off Iyana Iyesi, Onipanu, Ota. Police said the August 4 operation followed intelligence about suspected fraudulent activity, including an alleged Ponzi scheme, visa scam and immigration-related offences. Twenty-one suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service for further investigation. Two others remain in police custody and may face charges related to obtaining by false pretence. Investigations are ongoing to identify other possible suspects and establish the full details of the alleged scheme.
