Momodu Explains El-Rufai’s Appointment as Atiku Campaign Council Deputy Chair

ADC chieftain Dele Momodu says Nasir El-Rufai was appointed deputy chairman of Atiku Abubakar’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council in recognition of his political contributions and sacrifices. Speaking on a television programme, Momodu described El-Rufai’s legal troubles as politically motivated. He said the former Kaduna State governor returned to Nigeria despite expecting arrest and criticised the bail conditions attached to his case. Atiku unveiled the council on Thursday, naming Kashim Ibrahim-Imam as chairman and El-Rufai as deputy chairman. The campaign structure also includes John Oyegun, Dino Melaye, Momodu and other ADC stakeholders.
