NDC Supporters Demand Clarity Over Party Logo as Court Case Reopens

NDC Supporters Demand Clarity Over Party Logo as Court Case Reopens — 1 of 5

Esther Umoh, described as Peter Obi’s photographer, has asked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to clarify the logo approved for use ahead of the elections. She said uncertainty over the party’s identity and campaign materials could confuse candidates and supporters at the grassroots. Theo Abu Agada, the party’s director of new media, said he had already raised the issue with the national leadership. He objected to the description of Senator Henry Seriake Dickson as a “supreme leader,” calling it inappropriate, while Umoh said she expected a prompt response from the party. The dispute is linked to the NDC’s registration case with INEC. The party was previously asked to address concerns that its logo resembled that of another political association. A court has reportedly reopened the matter after the Peace Movement Party sought to be joined, alleging that the NDC adopted its logo.
