Gunmen Abduct Scores From Mosque in Niger State

Armed men reportedly abducted at least 60 worshippers from Kpenya Mosque in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State. The attack occurred on Friday after the gunmen reportedly raided Gidan-Zana and Kpenya villages. Residents said between 60 and 80 people may have been taken while prayers were ongoing. Police said no deaths were recorded, although some residents sustained gunshot injuries while trying to escape. Security forces have been deployed as a search for the abducted victims continues.
