FCT High Court Acquits Stella Oduah of ₦2.5bn Fraud Charge

FCT High Court Acquits Stella Oduah of ₦2.5bn Fraud Charge

On 26 March 2026, Honourable Justice Muazu of the FCT High Court discharged and acquitted former aviation minister Stella Oduah of all allegations related to a ₦2.5 billion fraud. Under a revised indictment, Sobora International Limited and Global Offshore & Marine Limited were arraigned. Both companies pleaded guilty and the court ordered their winding-up. Counsel Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) successfully secured Oduah’s discharge. Senior counsel Wale Balogun also won a discharge for the second defendant, Gloria Odita. Originally filed in December 2020, the case is now formally concluded. Observers note political overtones and hope all parties will maintain peace following the ruling.
