Rhoda Ebun’s Lagos Bridal Show Pushes Nigerian Bridal Fashion onto the Global Stage
Fashion stylist and creative director Rhoda Ebun has launched the Lagos Bridal Show, a platform designed to spotlight Nigerian bridal designers and expand their access to international buyers. The inaugural two-day event featured a gallery installation, industry conversations and a runway showcase with designers including Titi Belo, Yemi Shoyemi and Bibi Lawrence. Ebun says the platform is intended to grow beyond a fashion show into a marketplace for bridal fabrics, designers, stylists and wedding vendors. She also highlighted the difficulty of funding creative events in Nigeria, despite the jobs they create for models, interns, production teams and other professionals. Her long-term goal is to establish Lagos as a major hub for African bridalwear and luxury craftsmanship.
