Son Testifies as Delta Court Opens Trial of Woman Accused of Killing Husband and Another Woman

A Delta State High Court in Ughelli has begun the trial of Ufuoma Famous, who is accused of killing her husband, Famous Gideon, and Mrs Edoh, as well as attempting to kill another woman, Felicia. The prosecution called two witnesses, including the defendant's son, to testify before Justice Sunny Adolor. Prosecutors said the alleged offences occurred in January 2026 in Ighrovie, Ughelli. The defendant faces three counts, comprising two murder charges and one charge of attempted murder. The court adjourned proceedings to November 5, 2026, for the continuation of the prosecution's case.
