Pankshin Council Promises Crackdown After Two Suspected Ritual Killings
The Pankshin Local Government Council says it is working with security agencies after two bodies were discovered in the area within one month. Authorities allege that vital organs were removed from both victims. Three suspects were arrested after a woman’s body was found last month. Investigators reportedly recovered suspected fetish items, and the suspects have been transferred to the police headquarters in Jos. Security agencies are also investigating the discovery of a young man’s body at Monday Market on October 6. The council chairman said the case may involve cult-related activity or criminals operating around the student community. The council plans to require landlords and hotel operators to provide details of tenants and guests to help security agencies identify criminal suspects. Residents have been urged to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity.
