Delta Bandit Arrested: ‘We Work for Abuja Alhaji,’ Suspect Confesses

Security forces from the Delta State Police Command and SafeCity Security Service have arrested alleged bandit kingpin Abubakar Usman in the Ogwashi-Uku Adonta Forest. Usman is accused of kidnapping Mrs Blessing Chiedu along Ani-Ifekide Farm Road and demanding a ₦100 million ransom. Officers recovered a pump-action gun after a shoot-out with the gang. In a statement shared by a human rights activist, Usman claimed he and two accomplices reared stolen cattle and collected at least ₦5 million for an “Abuja Alhaji” he refused to name.
