Questions Raised Over Anambra’s World Bank Loan Repayment

I do not understand the claim that the World Bank facility accessed during Peter Obi’s tenure was not a loan. Anambra reportedly received about $123 million, while federal allocations are being deducted to repay the facility. Other states, including Kano and Anambra, also indicated interest in World Bank-backed malaria prevention and treatment funding. States that accessed such facilities are reportedly repaying them through deductions from their FAAC allocations. If the money was borrowed, credited to state accounts and is still being repaid, I believe it should be clearly described as a loan. I expect further clarification on the debt profile and the federal government’s role in the repayments.
