Tinubu Set for Historic 37-Year-Return State Visit to the UK
President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Tuesday, March 17, for a landmark state visit to the United Kingdom. He will be the first Nigerian leader in 37 years to receive this honour. The trip runs from March 18 to March 19. Tinubu will travel with First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. They will be hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle. The visit aims to strengthen ties in immigration, trade, investment, and cultural exchange. At Windsor Castle, the King and Queen will present a special exhibition on Nigeria’s history. President Tinubu and King Charles III will hold private talks and meet interfaith groups. A state banquet will be hosted in the evening by the Royal Family.
