Florida Court Dismisses Kodak Black’s Fleeing and Resisting Arrest Charges
A Florida court has dismissed all charges against rapper Kodak Black over claims that he fled from and resisted police during a traffic stop. A Broward County judge granted his motion to dismiss after prosecutors reportedly failed to provide evidence that he attempted to evade officers. His lawyer said video footage and a deputy’s deposition helped challenge the allegations. Kodak Black surrendered to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in May after a warrant was issued over the February incident. His lawyer is also seeking the dismissal of separate drug-possession charges filed against the rapper in Orlando.
