Nigeria’s New Ambassador to Spain Presents Credentials to King Felipe VI
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Victor Ikpeazu, has presented his letter of credence to King Felipe VI at the Royal Palace in Madrid, formally beginning his diplomatic assignment. Ikpeazu said Nigeria would seek stronger cooperation with Spain in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, education, tourism and security. He also called for a review of existing bilateral agreements, including the Bilateral Air Service Agreement, to improve direct air connectivity. The ambassador pledged to protect the interests of Nigerians living in Spain and strengthen their engagement with the embassy. He said closer institutional and private-sector collaboration could increase trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges between both countries.
