Imo Family Seeks Urgent Help as River Erosion Threatens Their Home

A family in Imo State is appealing for urgent help after severe river erosion damaged the area around their home and left the building at risk of collapse. In a viral video, the daughter said the house was built gradually over several years through contributions from her father and other family members. She said an engineer assessed the site and estimated that about ₦10.5 million would be needed to redirect the river and protect the property. She appealed to the Imo State Government, relevant agencies and well-meaning Nigerians to intervene, saying the family has nowhere else to stay if erosion sweeps away the house.
