Teen Sentenced After Stabbing Teacher at Welsh School

A 16-year-old has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in youth detention for stabbing teacher Vicky Williams in the head at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The boy, who was 15 at the time, was convicted of wounding with intent after the jury cleared him of attempted murder. The court heard that he brought a knife to school and attacked Williams after approaching her about his homework. The judge said it was fortunate that Williams did not suffer fatal injuries. Williams told the court she feared she would die during the attack. The school was placed on lockdown afterwards, while staff and pupils received support.
