Delta Police Arraign 22 Suspected Cult Members, Courts Order Remand
The Delta State Police Command says 22 people arrested in separate operations in Eku and Owhelogbo communities have been arraigned and remanded in correctional custody. Fifteen suspects arrested by the Command Anti-Cult Unit in Eku were arraigned at the Federal High Court in Warri on 25 September 2026. Seven others arrested in Owhelogbo were arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court. Police said the suspects face allegations of conspiracy and membership of an unlawful society. The cases involve alleged membership of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, also known as Arobag. The command said it will continue to investigate and prosecute cultism cases, while urging residents to provide timely information that could help prevent cult-related violence.
