Tinubu Commissions 10 Modern Residences for Federal High Court Judges in Abuja
President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated 10 new residences for Federal High Court judges in Katampe District, Abuja. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, he highlighted that secure housing is essential for true judicial independence. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike oversaw the delivery of these units just after completing quarters for Court of Appeal judges. He says 20 more homes for FCT High Court judges will be ready by July 7 and that the area will become an official Judges Zone. Wike defended reclaiming idle plots as a public good and announced plans to remove nearby high-rise buildings and build a dedicated police station to boost security and privacy. Chief Justice John Tsoho praised the project for strengthening judges’ welfare. FCDA executives added that each fully furnished five-bedroom duplex includes support facilities such as an event centre, shops, roads, drainage, power supply and perimeter fencing.
