Police, ICPC Reports Allegedly Clear Gbajabiamila in Fake PFIPC ₦400m Probe

Police and ICPC investigations into the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) reportedly found that the signature attributed to Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila on an appointment letter was forged. Investigators also reportedly found no evidence linking him to the alleged ₦400 million connected to Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew. The funds were reportedly traced to Adeyemi’s accounts and allegedly used for vehicle purchases, personal expenses and transfers to family members. Gbajabiamila had reportedly petitioned security agencies in October 2025 over the alleged impersonation and use of his name, leading to the investigation and arrest. The investigation also reportedly identified five government officials accused of helping the alleged fake agency secure budget entries, account codes, establishment approvals and access to government structures. Twenty-two suspects were reportedly questioned as investigators continue examining the case.
