Blaqbonez Reveals How He Got His Stage Name From a Friend

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, known as Blaqbonez, has revealed that his stage name originally belonged to a friend while they were in school. He said his friend loved rap and had adopted the name despite not actively making music. Blaqbonez said he asked to use it because the friend was not putting it to use. The rapper described the decision as “stealing” the name, adding that it has remained his identity throughout his music career.
