Why Has Governor Fubara Remained Quiet Amid the Rivers Political Crisis?
I have noticed that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been less visible in political news since the agreement that halted impeachment moves against him and reportedly ruled out a second-term bid. While the relative calm may be intended to preserve peace in Rivers State, I wonder whether his silence is simply restraint or a sign that he is waiting for the right political moment. The rift with Nyesom Wike remains one of the biggest issues shaping Rivers politics ahead of 2027. Personally, I would not want a governor in such a position to be reduced to a powerless figure. However, any response to political pressure must remain within the law and protect the integrity of elections in Rivers State. What do you think Fubara's silence means?
