Nigerian Man Found Unfit for Trial Over Death of UK Railway Worker
1 / 6
A UK court has heard that 61-year-old Elizabeth line worker Jorge Ortega died after allegedly being punched by Ayodele Jamgbadi at Ilford station in east London on 4 December 2024. Prosecutors said Ortega fell and struck his head on the platform after the alleged assault. He died two days later from a severe traumatic brain injury. Jamgbadi, 30, is charged with murder but has been found unfit to enter a plea or participate in a full trial because of his mental health. A jury must now decide whether he carried out the act that caused Ortega's death.
