Sowore Alleges Attack in Ado-Ekiti, Accuses DSS of Aiding Assailants
Omoyele Sowore says he and members of his team were attacked and injured in Ado-Ekiti shortly after an interview at a radio station on Friday. The African Action Congress presidential candidate alleged that the attackers were government-sponsored and received tracking support from the Department of State Services. He also claimed that operatives had followed and harassed his team since they arrived in Ekiti State. Sowore rejected the Ekiti police command’s description of the incident as a minor altercation, saying the commissioner of police saw the injuries sustained. The DSS had not responded to the allegations at the time of the report.
