Wike Criticises Amaechi Over Rivers Politics Ahead of 2027

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has criticised former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, accusing him of mismanaging state funds. Speaking with journalists in Abuja after meeting chairmen of the FCT’s six area councils, Wike said Amaechi would face resistance if he attempts to campaign in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections. The comments followed reports that Amaechi, the ADC vice-presidential candidate, criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration during a voter engagement event in Edo State.
