Adamawa Police Arrest Man Over Fatal Stabbing After Roasted Meat Dispute

Police in Adamawa State have arrested a 28-year-old man over the death of 21-year-old Haggai Markus in Mararaban Vimtim, Mubi North. Police say the pair had a disagreement on Wednesday, November 4, over roasted meat taken from a butcher’s table. The suspect allegedly stabbed Markus with a knife during the dispute. The victim’s father reported the incident to police. Officers who visited the scene recovered a knife and arrested the suspect. A doctor at the Federal Medical Centre in Mubi confirmed Markus dead. Police say the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
