Nigeria’s Opposition Needs Structure, Not Just Political Noise
Nigeria’s opposition politicians must avoid confusing public criticism and social-media visibility with real political strength. Press statements and rallies may attract attention, but they cannot replace a coordinated movement. A winning political structure requires unity of purpose, clear strategy, grassroots mobilisation and a presence across polling units nationwide. Political ambition cannot be sustained by last-minute alliances or activity that lacks organisation. The real test is whether opposition parties can convert public dissatisfaction into participation, build durable local networks and present a credible alternative to those in power. Noise may draw attention, but structure is what builds lasting political capacity.
