Tinubu Should Borrow Up to $1 Trillion to Build Nigeria, I Argue
I was looking at a list of the world’s most heavily indebted countries and noticed that Nigeria was nowhere near the top. I recalled Nigeria’s debt at about $120 billion, while the figure I saw for US debt was $40.8 trillion. That made me wonder whether the two countries face the same limits on borrowing. I believe Nigeria should consider borrowing more to develop the country. If the money is invested in infrastructure and helps the economy grow, repayment could become more manageable. President Tinubu, please borrow what Nigeria can responsibly borrow and put it to work building the country. God bless Nigeria.
