PDP CRISIS: Prince Victor resigns, withdraws from campaign council
NOVEMBER 08, 2022: 2 Mins Read By Daniel Olumide. A member of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Comr. Prince Victor has resigned his positions from the party presidential and gubernatorial campaigns. In a letter made available to Naijaworld, it read thus: "In-view of recent unfolding circumstances beyond my direct control and after due consultations with my family, political allies, supporters and friends, I, Comr. Prince Victor wish to resign my appointment with the Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party Gubernatorial Campaign Council and as Coordinator of the Atiku Support Group in my ward and other executive positions with effect from 7th of November, 2022. These decision became expedient upon self convictions". The former publicity Secretary of Lagos Rescue Mission maintained that however, he will remain as a bona-fide card carrying member of the PDP due to his belief in the politics of ideals and principles of her founding fathers which the party proudly portrays without doubts. He said "My loyalty remains with our National Leader, His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, our Flagbearer, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON and the leadership of His Excellency Sen. Iorchia Ayu's led administration. I remain ever grateful to the PDP for the opportunities given me to serve in various capacities and positions of responsibilities over the years. While wishing the party well in all her political campaign outings and subsequent elections, I wish to sincerely apologise and regret any inconveniences these decision may cause the party".
