Delta Police Nab Four Suspects in Effurun Killing Linked to Cult Gun Trade
The Delta State Police Command has arrested four alleged gun runners connected to the Beretta pistol found on Oghenemine Ogidiman, who was fatally shot by officers in Effurun, Uvwie LGA on May 1, 2026. Operatives tracked Emmanuel Chukwuemeka and his roommate in Bayelsa on May 4. Emmanuel admitted buying the weapon from Amadi Princewill for ₦290,000 and selling it to an unknown “Desmond” for ₦380,000, who dispatched it to Effurun. Further investigations led to Princewill’s arrest in Imo State on May 15 and the arrest of Amadi Felix in Owerri on May 16. All four suspects—Emmanuel Chukwuemeka, Clifford Boleyelefa, Amadi Princewill and Amadi Felix Chibuike—are believed to be members of the Black Axe confraternity. They will be charged after investigations, while the manhunt for “Desmond” continues.
