KFC US to Replace Pepsi With Coca-Cola After Nearly 40 Years
KFC will replace PepsiCo drinks with Coca-Cola products across its 3,600 restaurants in the United States, ending a partnership that has lasted for almost four decades. The change will begin in January 2027 and is expected to be completed by spring. KFC’s US partnership with Pepsi dates back to 1986, when PepsiCo acquired the restaurant chain. PepsiCo later spun off its restaurant businesses in 1997, but KFC continued to serve Pepsi products in the US. The agreement does not affect KFC outlets in Nigeria or elsewhere in Africa. KFC Africa operates across 22 sub-Saharan African countries and plans to continue expanding its restaurant network.
