Police Rescue Kidnap Victim in Kogi, Arrest Suspects Across Several States

Police and other security operatives rescued a kidnapped man unharmed in Kogi State after bush-combing operations forced his abductors to flee. Clearance operations are continuing, while the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lokoja investigates the case. In Delta, officers responded to an abduction in Owen Village, Ughelli, evacuated an injured victim to hospital and recovered a motorcycle. Search efforts are ongoing for another victim. Police also made arrests over separate fatal road accident and murder cases in the state. Across Anambra, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe, Nasarawa, Akwa Ibom and Imo, police reported arrests and recoveries linked to alleged vehicle theft, cult activity, violent attacks, illegal firearms, adulterated gin and vandalism. Recovered items include a stolen SUV, locally made pistols, ammunition, a knife, a hammer and a truck carrying vandalised water-board equipment.
