Zelensky Says Ukraine Will Resume Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Kyiv will resume attacks on Russian oil refineries after temporarily pausing them at the request of the United States. In an interview with an international newspaper, Zelensky said Ukraine halted the strikes for three days while Russia continued attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He said the attacks killed more than 100 civilians over the past week. Zelensky also alleged that the United States warned Ukraine that intelligence sharing could be cut if refinery strikes continued. He said any longer-term halt would require additional missiles for Patriot air-defence systems.
