APC Campaign Council Urges Tinubu to Mediate Wike-Governors Rift

The disagreement centres on Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, which has backed opposition candidates in some states. Progressive Governors Forum leaders say this could weaken APC candidates and affect Tinubu’s 2027 re-election plans. Wike rejected the criticism, saying governors should resolve problems in their own political bases instead of blaming the President. Other APC leaders have called for dialogue, while some argue that Wike remains an important ally whose political network could be valuable in 2027.
