He Bought Her Suya After She Rejected Him—Was That Simping?

On my way home one evening, I stopped at a suya spot and met a lady there. I jokingly told her she was already planning to buy me suya because I might fall in love with her. She laughed, and we exchanged a few words before I went to withdraw cash nearby. While I was at the POS, another man approached her. From where I stood, it seemed she was not interested in talking to him or giving him her number. When her suya was ready, he offered to pay for it anyway. She thanked him and began to leave. He then ran after her, still asking for her number. It made me wonder why some men believe spending money on a woman who has shown no interest will change her mind. My view is simple: money should not be used to buy affection. If someone genuinely likes you, spending on them can be a kind gesture, but it should not be a strategy for forcing interest.
