Police Launch NPF Vigilant App for Reporting Suspected Financial Fraud

The Nigeria Police Force has launched the NPF Vigilant App, a platform designed to help Nigerians report suspected financial fraud quickly. Users can submit reports, upload evidence, track cases and receive feedback as investigations progress. The Force also introduced an MTN Closed User Group network to give police personnel nationwide more secure and affordable communication. The network is expected to support emergency coordination and operational response across commands. The Inspector-General of Police said both initiatives are part of the Force’s digital-transformation drive. He added that the technologies must be used lawfully, responsibly and with respect for privacy, data protection and citizens’ rights.
