Sahara Power Enterprises Group has begun construction of a $12 million, 12MW independent power plant in Ogba, Ikeja. The project is intended to provide more reliable electricity to the surrounding area. The plant could offer a test case for localised private power generation in Lagos, though its capacity is aimed at a specific community rather than the entire state.
