Zazzau: A Poem for Zaria
1 / 2
Zaria welcomes us with sandstorms, paprika-coloured soil and wide stretches of farmland. Farmers bend over the earth while children chase cats through the open landscape. Among rocks and spreading trees, the city feels fierce, ancient and full of memory. Its air is fresh with lavender and unburnt wood. Zaria becomes a tender reminder of someone dearly missed: dreamlike, enduring and true.
