Ejiofor Urges Long-Term Support for 315 Nigerians Rescued From Terrorist Camps

Ejiofor Urges Long-Term Support for 315 Nigerians Rescued From Terrorist Camps

Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has praised security operatives over the reported rescue of 315 abducted Nigerians in coordinated operations across Kwara, Niger and Ogun states. He said the rescue brought hope to affected families but should also prompt serious reflection on the failures that allowed citizens to remain in terrorist camps for months. He called for stronger intelligence gathering, community policing and sustained cooperation among security agencies to prevent future abductions. Ejiofor also urged the Federal and state governments to provide long-term rehabilitation for survivors. He called for counselling, education, healthcare, livelihood support and protection for children born during captivity, stressing that rescue is only the beginning of recovery.
